![]() ![]() So when firing at a ship in smoke, you lock on another ship, scroll out your view if needed, then fire at the ship in smoke and get the benefit of better dispersion because of the lock on. What better players understand, is that there is a firing dispersion penalty if you are not locked on to a ship, but you do not have to fire at the ship you have locked on. That's actually a trick that better players use. I seem to get an odd amount of lucky citadels in those situations I don't know if it alters the shell angles to be more cit friendly or what, but it happens a lot. One other thing I've noticed is when I am shooting at a ship I am not "targeting" (either I didn't notice the target flip to another ship, or the ship drops off detection before I hit fire). If they don't move, it really isn't hard to hit them. ![]() Some people get way too comfortable in smoke.
